This list is by no means dispositive of the potential issues that come through the family court system. In many jurisdictions in the United States, the family courts see the most crowded dockets. Litigants representative of all social and economic classes are parties within the system. For the conflict of laws elements dealing with transnational and interstate issues, see marriage (conflict), divorce (conflict) and nullity (conflict). Criticism of Family LawMain article: Fathers' rights movementMembers of the fathers' rights movement criticize the "win or lose" nature of family law in determining issues of divorce and child custody in many Western countries. Cross-national parties dealing with legal systems in different countries simultaneously grapple with substantive and procedural issues regarding child abduction, child custody and visitation. International human rights treaties and the Hague Convention agreements seek to address such concerns. From Wikipedia under the

Q. My mother-in-law passed away some years ago.. We know very little about her family. She was an immigrant from France, she had 2 sisters and 1 brother. We would like to find some information about her family. How do you go about doing this when you don't have much information? Asked by Ronnie N - Tue Oct 21 11:45:06 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You would need her maiden surname to start with, and if she was married in France, her married name. You would preferably also want to know the first names of her siblings and roughly where they were born or live/lived in France. Where was she born? Some dates e.g. her date of birth and death, would help. After having these details I would look at where I can find French archives, census details, birth and death registers, parish registers etc. close to the area she came from. Some of these may be on-line. Or you may find some French genealogy websites that may be able to give advice / help. Q. On one hand they are happy to praise men for going to war willing to die for there country and then in the same breath dont feel they are good enough to be fathers to children. Making them fight tooth and nail in the family court just to get contact with there children and having to prove them selves. I wonder do these mothers who try to stop the fathers having contact with the children recognise Anzacs on Anzac day. A large number of then were fathers, do these mothers and the government (family law court) believe that they were only good enough to die for us, yet not good enough to be fathers to there children. Asked by rickane5 - Wed Sep 26 00:01:49 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. The courts really don't care who the better parent is, they just know that men make more than women and have the better ability to pay for the care of the children. But they also believe that if a man has to miss work to watch his kids he can not support them. There for the child is normally given to the female and then the courts, in order to reduce welfare hammers the dad for money so the state will not have to care for the children. Custody and visitation are civil matters to be solved in a civil court. Getting a mother to civil court for contemptt of court with out a good attorney is almost impossible. No judge is willing to put a mother in jail for fear that the system will then have to pay for the care of the children. Its all… [cont.] Answered by Wolf - Wed Sep 26 00:38:00 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Family Law"
